PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as "Device Information."

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

• "Log files" track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
• "Web beacons," "tags," and "pixels" are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as "Order Information." When we talk about "Personal Information" in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

CUSTOMER ACCOUNT & BIKE RENTAL CHECKOUT

If you create a customer account or complete checkout for a bike rental, we may process the following categories of data, depending on what you provide:

• Identity & contact: first and last name, email address, phone number (with country code), nationality or country of residence.
• Stay / pickup context: where you are staying on Tenerife (e.g. hotel or accommodation), chosen pickup office and pickup time preference.
• ID verification: passport or national ID number; optional upload of a photo or PDF of your ID or passport (stored securely for rental and legal purposes).
• Account & loyalty: login identifier (email), loyalty totals derived from completed rentals, and rental preferences you save on your profile.
• Marketing: if you opt in at checkout, your email (and related subscription data) for exclusive offers and product information.
• Order records: rental dates, bikes and extras, amounts paid, payment method type, and notes you add to an order.

Payment card details are handled by our payment providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal); we do not store your full card number on our own systems.

At checkout, guests may optionally choose to create a customer account for our loyalty program. This is a separate, unchecked option from marketing email consent. If you select it, we send a service email after your payment succeeds with a link to set your password—similar to our normal sign-up flow.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to: communicate with you; screen our orders for potential risk and fraud; and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to help us understand how our customers use the Site – you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

DO NOT TRACK

Please note that we do not alter our Site's data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

YOUR RIGHTS

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below. Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information may be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States, where our service providers operate.

REMOVING YOUR ACCOUNT & PERSONAL DATA

If you have a customer account, you can request removal of your account and associated personal data from the My Account page under the Remove account tab. You will need to confirm several statements so it is clear what happens:

• Your profile, uploaded ID documents, loyalty summary tied to the account, and marketing subscription entry will be deleted.
• Your login will be removed; you will not be able to sign in with the same credentials until you register again.
• Orders are generally retained for accounting, tax, and legal purposes (see Data retention below), but personal identifiers on those orders (such as name, email, phone, passport/ID number, addresses, your notes, and ID file references) are anonymised so they no longer identify you.

You can also contact us by email if you prefer to exercise erasure or other GDPR rights manually. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.

DATA RETENTION

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy and as required by law. There is no single EU-wide fixed number of years for all customer data: retention depends on the legal basis and purpose (for example performing a rental contract, legal accounting obligations, or consent for marketing).

Spain / EU (general orientation, not legal advice): commercial and accounting records often must be kept for several years (commonly on the order of six years under Spanish commercial/tax rules, depending on the document type and your situation). After the relevant period, or when no longer needed, data should be deleted or irreversibly anonymised. Marketing data is kept until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe.

When you use self-service account removal, we anonymise personal fields on past orders while retaining non-identifying booking and financial summaries where we have a legitimate need to do so. For specific questions about retention for your case, contact us.

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
