Yes — these are exactly the rides it is set up for. With up to 85 Nm and a 500 Wh battery (plus a 250 Wh extender on some bikes), Teide is realistic for most riders who manage the assist levels.

Yes, €100 per bike, taken in the shop when you collect. It is never charged online and is returned when the bike comes back in good condition.

The bike: Giant Revolt E+

An electric gravel / all-road bike: drop bars and a road-bike position, fitted with road tyres, plus a mid-motor that takes the sting out of Tenerife's long climbs. It is quick and comfortable on tarmac and still happy on a gravel track — but it is not a light, pure e-road race bike.

Motor and battery

Up to 85 Nm of support and a 500 Wh battery. Some bikes also carry a 250 Wh range extender for long days like Teide.

Gearing and brakes

Wide-range gearing for steep ramps and hydraulic disc brakes for the long descents back to the coast.
