Recommended gearing
Compact or semi-compact with 32–34t cassette. Many riders prefer electronic shifting for repeated accelerations out of hairpins.

Start early (before 9:00) to avoid heat and coach traffic. Winter mornings are ideal.
Who this route is for
Experienced climbers with confident descending skills. Not recommended for first-time Tenerife visitors on day one.
