KUDO Canarias S.L. - Bike Rental Terms & Conditions

1. Customer Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for the bike and any included accessories throughout the rental period.
  • Items must be returned in the same condition as rented. Damage or loss will be charged accordingly.
  • Theft or loss of the bike or accessories will result in full replacement charges, even if insurance was purchased.

2. Traffic Rules & Liability

  • Customers must obey all local traffic laws and cycling regulations.
  • Any accidents, injuries, or damage caused during the rental are the full responsibility of the customer.
  • KUDO Canarias S.L. is not liable for any personal or third-party incidents.

3. Security & Overnight Storage

  • Bikes must be locked securely using the provided lock at all times.
  • Acceptable overnight storage locations:
    • Your hotel room or apartment
    • A locked garage or indoor private space
    • Our shop during office hours (free overnight storage)
  • Do not leave bikes outside or in public/unsecured spaces.
  • Theft is not covered by insurance. You are liable for full replacement in case of theft.

4. Deposit & Payment

  • A deposit is required and will be refunded after all items are returned undamaged.
  • Full payment (rental + deposit) is due at booking. Early returns are non-refundable.
  • Late returns will be charged double the daily rental rate for each delayed day.

5. Breakdowns & Repairs

  • If a breakdown occurs due to normal use, bring the bike to our shop for exchange at no cost.
  • Transportation to our shop is the customer’s responsibility.
  • Flat tires: one tube is provided. If used, the replacement will be charged. Additional damage or tires are not covered.

6. Office Hours & Returns

  • Office Hours:
    Mon–Sat: 9:00–13:00 & 18:00–20:00
    Sun: Closed
  • Return Rules:
    - Bikes rented through Sunday must be returned Monday by 10:00 AM.
    - Sunday pick-up is Saturday between 7–8 PM, return Monday by 10:00 AM.
  • Late returns are charged at double the rental rate for the delayed period.

7. Cancellations

  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours before rental start.
  • 50% fee for cancellations 24–48 hours before rental start.
  • No refund for cancellations within 24 hours of rental start.

8. Optional Rental Insurance

  • Insurance is optional and must be selected at booking.
  • Coverage levels:
    • Insurance A (Ultegra): up to €500
    • Insurance B (105 Di2): up to €400
    • Insurance C (105): up to €300
  • A €50 franchise fee applies to all claims, regardless of amount.
  • Covered: Accidental damage, first flat tube.
  • Not covered: Theft, second or more flat tires, and damage beyond the insured amount.
  • With Insurance:
    • Bike replacement (if available)
    • Technician repair
    • Transport support (e.g., taxi refund)
  • Without Insurance: No technical assistance, no coverage, full liability.

9. Agreement & Legal

  • By booking or signing the rental agreement, you accept all terms listed.
  • All rentals are governed by Spanish law. Legal disputes will be handled in Tenerife courts.
